However, the weekend was not without a little bit of drama . I purchased a pair of skis on Monday from Calgary for the weekend. The estimated arrival date was Friday, but I was already going to be on the road by the time they were going to be delivered. I decided to test fate and have them shipped directly to the Pro Shop at Mount Snow. From there, the techs inside would install the bindings and hopefully have them ready for me first thing Saturday morning.
Unfortunately this turned into a bit of a mess as the skis got lost in Mount Snow's receiving area and were never put together for Saturday. To make matters worse, the techs were an hour late to work on Saturday morning so I still did not know if my skis even made it! When they showed up it was another half hour before they got to me and I then found out that they could not install the bindings! So I had wasted about 2 hours that morning of quality time on the slopes to find out I couldn't even use my new skis!Luckily the guys in the demo shop were great and allowed me to demo a pair for free. After the day on the mountain we found a local shop who would install the bindings. After all was said and done I ended up with my own pair of skis for the day on Sunday. They were so much faster than anything I had used before!
When we got home I headed right to Seussical rehearsal and we're preparing for the stretch run. This is my first time conducting a pit orchestra for a musical so I am very excited!
